Visual kits for agents that need to design well
Pick what you're building, preview every kit on that surface, and hand your agent a complete visual system — fonts, colors, tokens, and component rules.

A print-derived reference-manual aesthetic. Near-white paper background, pure black serif body copy set in narrow justified columns, and one saturated electric blue used for every heading, diagram line, link and accent. Illustrations are axonometric line diagrams drawn in blue stroke over a faint grid, annotated with uppercase monospace callouts and thin leader lines. Structure comes from hairline rules, dotted separator bands and tiny rotated marginal labels rather than from cards, shadows or rounded surfaces. Corners are near-sharp (4px at most), borders are hairline, elevation is essentially absent.

Checked per use case for the things that can actually be measured — chart-series distinctness, text contrast, information density. This finds where a kit would break, not whether it matches your taste.
The same kit, applied to real screens. Nothing here is a mockup of a template — every surface is drawn from this kit's own tokens, type and treatments.
The same kit across 3 surfaces.

There is a version of this story that begins with a spreadsheet, and a better one that begins with a walk. The team had spent a quarter arguing about metrics when the answer, as it usually does, arrived by looking at the thing itself.
What follows is less a methodology than a temperament: patient, specific, allergic to the generic. The work improves when the tools disappear.
"A technical-manual layout system: electric blue linework on near-white paper, monospaced labels, hairline rules and a dense multi-column reading grid."

Generic output is a layout problem before it is a color problem. These rules ship inside the kit, so the agent building your project reads them too.

Three ways from the same kit: run "npx identityforge@latest apply blueprint-manual-grid" with the CLI to write the tokens and DESIGN.md into your project, fetch it through the Identity Forge MCP server inside Claude Code, Cursor, or OpenCode, or install from the shadcn registry at /r/blueprint-manual-grid.json with "npx shadcn add".
A complete brand system: a font pairing, 28 semantic color tokens in light and dark, a typography scale, spacing and elevation, per-element treatments, distinctive motifs, do's and don'ts, and a DESIGN.md a coding agent builds from. Exports cover shadcn registry items, Tailwind v3 and v4 themes, DTCG tokens JSON, and plain CSS variables.
Blueprint Manual Grid is free: its full color tokens, fonts, DESIGN.md, and every export are available at no cost.

## Overview A print-derived reference-manual aesthetic. Structure comes from hairline rules, dotted separator bands and tiny rotated marginal labels rather than from cards, shadows or rounded surfaces. Corners are near-sharp (4px at most), borders are hairline, elevation is essentially absent. ## Personality - **Feels like:** technical, precise, editorial, schematic, dense, understated. - **Not like:** startup-glossy, soft-consumer-rounded, gradient-heavy, shadow-layered. ## Colors Every color captured from the source. Store all of them; a given screen renders only the subset it needs (a chart may use every data-viz color while a hero uses two). **Brand** - `#010cff`: Primary accent **Surfaces** - `#fbfbfb`: Page surface **Ink / text** - `#000000`: Body ink **Accents** - `#dfe4ff`: Diagram fill **Borders** - `#d9dbe4`: Hairline rule **Other** - `#6b7086`: Metric label **Semantic roles, light** - `background`: `#FBFBFB` - `foreground`: `#000000` - `card`: `#FFFFFF` - `card-foreground`: `#000000` - `popover`: `#FFFFFF` - `popover-foreground`: `#000000` - `primary`: `#010CFF` - `primary-foreground`: `#FFFFFF` - `secondary`: `#EEF0FB` - `secondary-foreground`: `#111334` - `muted`: `#F2F3F7`
