What the direction actually buys you when it lands.
- A hard two-or-three-ink limit forces real hierarchy: with no way to fake a tint, every element must earn one of the available inks.
- Overprint creates a third and fourth colour for free where the passes cross, so a two-ink palette still reads as rich.
- The fluorescent inks sit outside the CMYK gamut, so the result looks unmistakably printed rather than screen-native — cheap to produce, expensive to fake.
- Registration drift and paper grain add human evidence without any nostalgia costume, which is why it reads as independent rather than retro.

- Name a warm off-white; leaving it unstated produces screen white and kills the print read
- Overprint
- Ask for the overprint colour explicitly, otherwise the passes render as opaque stacking with no third hue
- Grain scale
- Tie grain to output size; grain generated for a poster disappears entirely in a social tile

Holding a whole set

- Keep the registration drifting in the same direction; random per-asset drift reads as inconsistency rather than process
- Set typography separately in real type over the artwork; never let the model generate the lettering
